Woman assaulted outside Epicentre in downtown Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – A woman claims she was punched in the head at a popular entertainment spot in downtown Charlotte.

The incident happened Tuesday around 6:20 p.m. at a parking deck of the Epicentre located at 210 E. Trade Street.

The 21-year-old woman told police someone approached her in the parking deck and punched her one time in the back of the head.

The man ran away.

Youth Festival Concert

Bar patron assaulted with beer bottle in downtown Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police say a man at a bar in center city Charlotte was injured after he was smacked in the head with a beer bottle.

Lucas Flory, 24, told police was assaulted at Black Fin which is a bar/restaurant located in the Epicenter at 210 E. Trade Street.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 12.

Flory told police he didn't know the man who hit him or why the reason for the assault.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at Carolinas Medical Center.
