CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - From Off-Broadway to Edinburgh, audiences and critics alike have raved about Miles & Coltrane: Blue(.). This work tells the story of two men, Miles Davis & John Coltrane, who changed the landscape of music, especially jazz. The work explores their time together, known as the blue period, where they created the best selling jazz album of all time, Kind of Blue. Their experiences and differences as men are told through a theatrical format, using the artistic mediums of acting, dance, poetry, music and visual art. This production features the work of professional emerging artist, Concrete Generation, God City, The Stephen Gordon Quintet, Jhe Russell and Randolph Ward.
